A Social Cognitive Neuroscience Approach to Emotion and Memory

In the movie Blade Runner. a woman named Rachel discovers that what she has always believed to be her most poignant childhood recollections are not her memories at all. Rachel learns that she is an artificially created, genetically engineered entity known as a reliant. She is physically indistinguishable from ordinary humans, and her psychological identity is based on memories taken from the life of her creator’s niece.
